Then, pull out the keyring safety pin which locks the spray nozzle from an accidental misfire. The pin can be moved to the right side for left-handed individuals. Hold the pepper spray with the dominant hand, similar to how you would hold a firearm or trigger. Use your thumb to apply firm steady pressure to the top of the nozzle. The cone-shaped spray nozzle will release a flood spray coverage and form a fog within the proximity of the distance of the area.
